  • Nikon film scanner fetches over $3,500

Still Photography Nikon Super Coolscan 9000 ED Multi Format Film Photo Slide Scanner for 35mm and 120, which is nearly 20 years old, fetches over $3,500 Australian. Must be good for this price.

This is still considered one of the best scanners out there. Last I checked they were in the $2k range. Prices on film related items have gone up in recent years. I’ve been stuck on my Epsom V650 for far too long, haha. Maybe it’s time for an upgrade.

Not sure how many people will still be using Windows XP and Firewire now though. (OK I am using a second hand XP machine for some programs but not wiht Firewire connections).

I won't part with my Nikon CS 9000 ED. Yes, it is Firewire, and I had to buy Silverfast software to run on Win 10. But the results are excellent.
