Hi everyone, my Wolverine Pro 8mm scanner has started making a horrible 'purring' grinding sound when taking up - I am really worried as it I have only put it through a couple of scans and all of a sudden it is happening. Has anyone encountered this and have any solutions for it? I ordered it from the US to the UK and worry about the warranty as the user guide says it is only covered in the US - thanks

Hi Jacob. Not clear from your post where exactly the noise is coming from. If it is from the takeup area then it could be a worn out takeup motor gear. There are several posts in the old forum discussing this issue. You should open up the cover and check it. If it is indeed worn out, contact Wolverine Data and arrange with them for the new motor assembly.
