  • Problems with Davinci Resolve

I installed the latest version of Davinci Resolve (18.1.3 for Windows) and discovered that it no longer supports Intel 4600 GPU. In searching the internet I found that I am not alone. I found that this problem also applies to version 17.4.6. Davinci considers the Intel 4600 GPU as incompatible.

The easy fix is to install version 16.2.8 of Resolve for Windows. You will find all versions of Resolve at:

Were you aware that it is nearly 10 years ago that those procs were introduced?
Always a bummer when software requires newer hardware but at least you can still use what you have.
Not that I have any intention of upgrading but my main edit system would not able to use Win11... I'll cope 😁

I agree David, it's hard to justify replacing hardware it order you use a free application on a free operating system.

I am running the latest Intel 4600 driver (which is 3 years old). From the little I read when researching the issue, it appears that version 18 of Resolve requires a newer 4600 graphics driver from HP. Regardless, I'm fine with running Resolve version 16.
