Moviestuff Retro 8 - Enlarge aperture?

Has anyone here used a Moviestuff Retro 8? I'm wondering if there's a way to enlarge the aperture to include part of the sprocket hole so I can stabilize in post?

This was the big problem with this unit.... I have never heard of anyone enlarging the aperture at the gate.... Did you ask Moviestuff ?

Thomas, it was a no. Pretty much a showstopper for me so I've moved it on.

I remember once a reading a post that claimed the Retro 8 does not even capture the full 8mm frame , but crops a significant portion out.
