OK so this is a 16mm system. Looks pretty clean.

Replacing the rubber rollers with new polyurethane I'm sure that I can do. I just hope that replacing the cracked feed reel gear isn't too much of a PITA!

The video on the left is a frame-by-frame Hawkeye mod.
The one on the left side has very sharp image. From the still photograph, I can read (literally as it is in Greek I guess) those small fonts below the name "WEIPERT". But the one on the right hand with Panasonic is almost blurry.

The downside with Hawkeye is that bluish tone which I think can be corrected in final editing, right?

From the side by side video result I see the Hawkeye shows shakeness. I believe for the Panasonic end result you used deshaker, right? What about with the Hawkeye result?

Last but not least, from your video, I see the speed is very slow. I have set the speed to 2x and now can see the people walking at normal speed. However when the camera is moving left to right or zooming in and out, it becomes too fast.

The one on the left is Hawkeye with better optics but obviously higher cost. But anyways the one on the right is pretty good. It is not frame-by-frame but a video capture so some frames will be more blurry if you select individual frames.
Here I picked a good frame. Click image for larger version

Still not as good as frame by frame but acceptable quality in my opinion.
When the video is run you will not notice as much difference. The original camcoder capture was done at 10 FPS, that is why it is slow. But it is easy to bump up the speed.
Here is the version with normal speed and brightened up a bit.

Yes, Hawkeye BUC02 camera has a bluish hue and it is hard to get rid of it fully in the post.
No deshake used in either. Sankyo is more solid mechanically than the Wolverine machine, hence less shake.
But yes, deshake can fix that and I have done it before.
Yes, zooming is and out is fast, blame it on my cousin who took the original video. But that can be easily fixed.
          Thanks for the comments.

I looked at that ebay auction. It's a good price even if it needs new rollers and camera upgrade. I wrote to the seller and the posted video that was there was in error.

Just out of curiosity, how much would you pay for a fully reconditioned Elmo Trv-S8 with a new global shutter raspberry pi camera capturing at 1440 x 1080?
