This is no ordinary Wolverine Movie Maker Pro scanner. It has been heavily modified. Has custom controller that drives the stepper at 4 FPS which is 2X the Wolverine speed. The camera used is a web 1920x1080 camera with a high quality lens. The camera gets triggered by the Wolverine optical coupler and creates a high quality HD video that does not require any post processing.

The camera runs in auto exposure mode but can be overridden by using the "u" and "d" keys during the scan.
    "u" - for exposure 1 step up
    "d" - for exposure 1 step down.

Connect the USB cable to the back of the unit. Go to the Release dir and run the exe file on a windows machine.
Set camera selection to 0 or 1 depending on your system.
    Set fps to 18.
    Set the output file destination.
    Set width to 1500
    Set height to 1000
Press Start. The preview window will open up. Click Capture button. The output preview window will open up.
Leave the cursor on the capture button and turn the run switch on.
Make sure Speed and Turbo switches are on for 4FPS operation.
If takeup reel runs in reverse direction, flip REV switch to opposite position.
Turn Fan switch on for longer scans to keep the unit cool.
Listed it at eb... and was gone in one day. Have no more at the moment but willing to provide support to anyone interested in building this.

    Awesome job!
Why only a 1920x1080 camera? Leaves no room for cropping in post if you want to end up with 1080 vertical resolution.

      Thank you John.
I wanted to have a cheaper web camera in $50 range. The sensor used in this particular ELP camera has very nice colors and it is around $50. But sure, there are higher rez cameras out there also in this price range and should not be hard to try them.

General Wolverine question: my S8 movies were spliced into 7” reels. How much of one if those reels can I get onto a 32G memory card?

Hi Gary. Tested a few clips.
          3486 frames 206MB
          0.059 MB/frame

          7" reel has 36,912 frames.
          36,912 x 0.059 around 2 GB

          this is a rough estimate
