Is there someone who can assist me with this? I am hesitant about attempting the operation but would really like to see the whole frame when doing my telecine transfer.

Hi Bill. I have done it. It is a bit involved because you have to remove the cam with the shutter blades to get access to some of the mounting screws. I will try to document the procedure.

The gate assembly itself is held to the frame by only 2 screws. But in order to access that there'll be quite a few pieces to remove first.

So yes - a time consuming process, but still doable.

How about just drilling it out a bit larger?

I would not recommend that Bill. You could potentially damage other components in the area and will have issues with the burrs and rough edges. Will see if I can document the procedure this week. It is really not that hard but you have to take your time to do it properly.
