So many good movies, so many good performances. I'll just single out this silly one.

"...and Donald Sutherland as The Clumsy Waiter..." from the "That's Armageddon" trailer in Kentucky Fried Movie.

The first Sutherland movie I saw was M*A*S*H, which earned him his first nomination for a Golden Globe in 1970. He did not that one, but went on to win others.

Mmmm.....don't hit me with those negative waves, Moriarity. Woof...woof, woof.

He was great as Oddball in 'Kelly's Heroes'.

He was always fun to watch. I mostly saw his, so to speak, whacked out or hippy type rolls, so I just tended to think of him basically playing the same character in different roles, but he did have quite a variety to him. Unique character actor.
