Museum Exhibit: Filmmaking in New York

Last week I went to see The Museum of the City of New York's exhibit You Are Here: An Immersive Film Experience which uses 16 screens to excellent effect, showing clips from over 400 films that are set in New York. All types of genres are represented in a brilliantly cut 21 minute presentation that you really should sit through twice. There is also a gallery of fascinating production stills from some of these films, starting with silents and continuing to recent releases.

Aww too bad I still don’t live in southwestern CT. I would have hopped on the Metro to go into the city for that!
