    What is Silent Movie Day?

It’s an annual celebration of silent film that takes place on and around September 29th each year. You can screen a silent film at your theater, write a blog post, schedule a lecture, share your silent recommendations on social media, launch a kickstarter to preserve a film, release a podcast, or whatever else you are inspired to do.

Last year we had over 100 venues and organizations participate around the country and in several countries.

This is a worldwide event with screenings of silent movie around the world. To find events in your area go to https://silentmovieday.org/news/2024

Maybe there will be a silent film at the BFCC/TPTV event in St Albans that day.

Awesome idea! In honor of it, I'll screen my scored version of Buster Keaton's "The General"!

        Kind of a shame!

My local Arts Cinema isn't taking part.

I'm thinking of showing my Blackhawk scored Steamboat Bill Junior!

(I enjoy all of the Silent Era Greats, but Buster Keaton is my favorite.)
