Thank you!
Havenโt really lost her. She is dead. Good innings at nearly 90. She could act and was well worth watching unlike the other Dames Dench, Mirren and Redgrave. When they finally get lost there will be acting roles for at least 20 actresses.
I am lucky enough to have one of her earlier hits on super 8 optical sound, alongside a good cast with Bob Newhart ( also lost this year), and Peter Ustinov, "Hot Millions"! ๐
'Hot Millions' is one of my favourite films. Dame Maggie was wonderful in it. I actually saw her in person back in the late 80's when I was working in Shepperton Studios. She was in 'The Lonely Passion of Judith Hearne' with Bob Hoskins. She arrived in an autumnal, stylish outfit looking worried as she got out of the car. She paused for a minute, as many stars do (just long enough to be recognised). Star quality is what I call it.
