  • David Buck

I was reading my Heritage Rail magazine today and found a tribute to David Buck and the steam railwya achievements. As it also mentioned that he was the managing director of a film processing company, I assume this was David Buck of Buck Labs that also produced many Super 8 prints for many companies.

He died on 24th August at the age of 80. Sadly another one from the 8mm fraternity gone!

He knew what he was doing! I have many a print that was made by Buck Film labs, and, as a general rule, they have kept they're color and have been good, fairly sharp prints for they're day. R.I.P.

Sad to read this. I met David back in the 90's. He still had a full set of Disney 200ft extracts in his office. He said he knew every frame of those films. Always very helpful. Buck Labs became CineLab Europe, one of the few places left where you could get rushes printed if you shot on film.
