It's odd. I'm on my phone and when coming to the forum I found I'm already logged in. However, on my home computer, even though I select remember me I always have to log in. Eve when I click away and come back.

If you have not set the cookie "8mmforum.film-tech.com" to be excluded from clearing your browser cache, it will be deleted, requiring you to log in again.
I use Firefox as my browser, and CCleaner to clear browser cache, etc. In CCleaner, there is a option to set individual cookies are permanent. -
When starting your browser in „private mode“/„incognito mode“/…, then all cookies will be deleted when closing the browser. Then, the forum cannot „remember“ you.
Also, you can set up most browsers to always delete all cookies (independent of the mode).
Furthermore, you might have installed plug-ins that are deleting „unwanted“ cookies (without having added this forum as origin for „wanted“ cookies).
