                Scope projection.

After the dinner, the last projection (until next year). It consists mainly in projecting films bought at the film fair.

Terrific pictures of a wonderful event. There's so much film & equipment to look at!
I have to ask...If the dealer room opens at 10 AM, what time do the eager collectors start queueing up?

This year, the first enthusiast arrived at 8 am, but serious things really started around 9:30 am. With so many dealers having piles of films, I think everybody could find serveral interesting items.

I second John : the organizators did a wonderful job. This week-end was a complete success.

Special public thanks to David Watson. He let me stock the films I bought in his room, and he did drive me to my hotel, which was to kind of him.

Forgot to mention, for those unable to attend, fear not !! Eivind was on hand with his arsenal of digital gizmos capturing the weekend for what I am sure will be a superb reflection of the Convention. It is so important that these magical moments are recorded for posterity.

Just arrived home (well I did run a couple of the short films I bought whilst the computer was loading Windows). I had a great time and resisted buying anothe projector. Great to see and chat with Dominique on the train. I wasn't on the same train as him on the way beck but did find him having breakfast the "The Albert and the Lion" Wetherspoons pub in my way to the station. More 9including photos) later.

I enjoyed the whole 3 days. Great to meet fellow collectors. Especially nice to talk to Brian, Mark Norton, Adrian, Simon McConway, Dom, Eivind, Del, Ged, Tod, Lee, Peter Travers and everyone else I haven't mentioned. Special thanks to all the organisers for making this such a great event. I didn't take many photos until much later but here are most of them.

That GS800 is the rare model with Optical sound. You don't see many of these in the UK.

Thanks for posting more pictures. This morning, coming back from my hotel, on the way to the place I like to breakfast (and is no more a secret), I was pleased that Paul Barker and madame stopper their car for a last "see you, next year"". Then, i was pleased to meet Brian, as he wrote it. I thought that my Blackpool week-end would ended with him, as it started, but then I met Tod (one of the four Group 9.5 members). We didn't see the time flying, and I could have miss the train if Tod had not looked at his watch.
