Well here is one, for those of you who want to escape your winter and get away from it all its a Tourism Video for Australia made by a New Zealander by the way
Well folks we are getting some nice summer weather at the moment, a good time to visit NZ, we are only 18 hours and 10 minutes away. Now the longest flight I have been on was 27 hours London to Auckland, but that was not non stop like this one, interesting that over the years the flying time has not really changed. Its still about the same, in fact I think its got longer, In saying that a non stop 18 hours would be a bit much for me these days. One thing for sure, the tourist industry does recommend that you don't drive when you first arrive without a rest. You might find it hard to believe, but some do. Well summer wont last for much longer, so if you want to get away from it all this is the time to do it
One of the best things I received long ago was this 1975 Road Atlas I still use it to this day. The West Coast of the South Island is certainly worth a drive down. A lot of Australian visitors hire a camper so that type of thing to travel around in is very popular. I have been here now 55 years and its been great. This country has a lot going for it especially if you like the outdoors.
I bought this old van, must have be around 1975-76 mark, it had a bed and a stove what more can you askso did my touring in it, another brilliant way to see the country, was when I worked for Avis rentals, at times send me to bring back or take vehicles to other parts of the country. A working holiday for young people to come here in the tourist industry is something a number of visitors can take advantage of as well.
Anyway I am rambling on now but the next time anyone here goes to McDonalds for a processed" fish burger, think of of this one in the below video
