Can't say I'm surprised, but also can't say I'm excited for 007 under complete Amazon control. Oh well, life goes on as they say and we're just here for the ride.
There’s one good thing about it: Amazon will definitely continue the saga. But I fear that it’s end of all 007 movies. Instead of a 120min movie, we’ll now get the same story as 12 episodes à 45min. (Each episode minus 10min credits, 5min intro and 5min recapitulation of the previous episodes, so only 12x25min net.)

Here’s your Ursula Andress moment. I presume like all good James Bond villians his voice would be dubbed. Maybe Jeff has his eye on the role. Next story has to be AI and mega billionaire technocrats.
A couple of political themed posts have been deleted, which means the ones that reference those have to go also.
To me, Quantum is a poorly made film. Something as basic as the chase scenes have awful CGI & spacial continuity so that the viewer has no idea where the people involved are in relation to each other.
A View to a Kill is right behind Quantum. Even Christopher Walken & Grace Jones can't make it work.
I think Joerg has made an accurate forecast of what will happen. I cannot cope with films being split up by so many repetitive advertisements for products I will never wish to purchase. Give me the big screen any time, but as far as tv is concerned, thank goodness for the much maligned bbc. People begrudge paying the licence fee but are willing to pay a monthly rate to watch a streamed commercial Channel plus extra to be advertisement free?!
