  • Monty Python and the Holy Grail Turns 50. Watch It Free on YouTube

Monty Python and the Holy Grail premiered in theaters on April 3, 1975. 50 years on, it remains one of the finest comedy movies ever (though it is definitely not everyone’s cup of tea). If you’re a fan, you can catch it for free on YouTube (with ads, not sure about region restrictions) or in select theaters in North America. You can also stream it for free on Amazon Prime Video, Pluto TV, Roku Channel, Plex, and a few other free movie services. (via open culture)

Hilarious film! Directed by a Llama! ( Anybody who's seen the film will get that!). Interestingly, Monty Python as a TV show, actually made it onto super. It is an extreme rarity, but back in the 60's thru some time in the 70's, the U.S. and the U.K. would do telecines of they're best programs for overseas on they're military bases. One of these shows was a Monty Python episode, or most of it. It was in black and white, though.

My daughter and I saw it at the Cinemark in Monterey last night! Great new intro by John, Michael and Terry Gilliam. Glad to see a row of kids behind us with their mom. I had the super 8 print of the kinescope Spam episode when I was thirteen or so.

"Lovely Spam, beautiful Spam!". News flash! We Osgood's are an odd lot! I kid you not, when we see SPAM on the shelf, we all start chanting "Spam Spam Spam Spam!". Thus far, no one has thrown us out. They just look at us in curiosity 🙃
