Years ago I went to the cinema to watch this film, based on tragic events at Aromoana here in the South Island, that happened back in November 1990. "Out Of The Blue" was the only film I have ever watched that when I was leaving the cinema I felt totally drained, also left with the nagging thought that given certain circumstances that it could happen again.
The film shows that even in a quiet little town things can go terribly wrong. I have to give credit to the director who was very careful in his approach to the subject.
Last night I watched it again, the first in a long time. One lady in her 70s in particular, was later to receive the "George Cross" a remarkable lady.
A couple of screen shots from the film.
