OK, he wasn't big in films ( though he did transition to film and did make some semi memorable or fun B pictures), but he was one of those icons that nearly everyone knew his name, one of those characters that could truly be said was "larger than life". I happen to have just one of Hulk Hogan film appearance, and I think it was his first on film, Rocky 3, as an optical sound super 8 feature, as he played, of all things, a wrestler.
