Buyer beware, never buy a film from Alexander Prell, recently bought a film that arrived not as described, totally red, when I questioned it I got all sorts of new information which is total BS, I asked for a refund and he said he doesn't except returns, his only advice was to sell it to someone in the UK and blocked me, I gave him every opportunity to put things right, absolute con artist and the sort of person that gives the hobby a bad name, shame on you Alexander Prell. I can post all the transcript, unbelievable

Incredibly sad when that happens. Sorry to hear it Mark.
20 or so years ago when I was a big collector of 16mm same thing happened to me with a copy of a very red “ Chariots of Fire”… this was from someone who actually ran a US film collectors forum. ( they don’t anymore).
I ended up lumbered with it.. that experience and quite a few “ vinegar” experiences - even solid hockey puck prints! Collectively soured me to everything.
Anyone who bought anything from me back in day always got what I described . I wouldn’t be able to live with my conscience otherwise.
best to all”

thank you Mark/Dom, I see Alexander has now posted to avoid me as a buyer which just shows his true colours, the transcript I posted here has been trimmed because it's from my phone via messenger but those that have read it can see no attempt was made to try and resolve this, I'm not someone who names and shames but because of the large sums Alexander asks for his films it's just a warning to others that if there is a problem then don't be surprised of the answer.

It's not the cost Alexander it's the way you've dealt with it and your description, I've acted more than a gentleman with this dealing as people can see. As for the cheap shots about my character and your many private messages then who are these people? It's purely about our dealing and your lack of professionalism when a problem has arisen, nobody else. My posts have purely been to warn others of bad experiences and hopefully it doesn't happen to them as with any posts I do on whatever platform, those that have experienced such posts are always justified and then usually play the victim, ive seen it many times and they know who they are, if your willing to show such support from my haters then please do, ive only ever bought in good faith and when it goes wrong if your quick enough to take the cash then you should be quick enough to return it.Last edited by Mark A. Moral of the story TRUST NO ONE. Always pay that little extra for PayPal cover as a service transaction do not pay as family and friend
If you have paid via a credit card it is worth contacting them for chargeback as product is defective not as described. Also, worth contacting if paid via a bank.
Send them emails and responses and screenshots of film that should do it.
When You Can Use Chargeback
You may be able to use Chargeback if:
How to Make a Chargeback Claim- Contact the retailer: first to resolve the issue directly.
- If the retailer cannot or will not help, contact your card-issuing bank to request a Chargeback.
- Your bank will then make a request to the retailer's bank to reclaim the money.
- Goods or services were not received: or the company went out of business.
- Goods are faulty, counterfeit, or defective .
- You were charged the wrong amount or charged twice by mistake.
- You were charged for a repeat payment after cancelling a subscription.
