I have just heard that Maurice Thornton passed away in April aged 92. At one time he was closely connected with the Curzon Cinema, in Clevedon, Somerset.
I believe the Curzon Collection was his idea. Many home movie projectors were on show, some even working on special show days.
I now own the working Pathe Vox 9.5mm sound projector which was rescued when the management decided that there was no future for the Collection.
