Most people are aware of the term "All Day Breakfast", well, in a cinema where I worked for many years, I had an All Day Manager ! He never had a day off, he just loved the cinema (as I did) and when the cinema closed at around 10pm he would make his way to the Police Club where he acted as bar manager. All the police were admitted free to the cinema.
The cinema, as most, only closed one day of the year, on Christmas Day. So, around this time of the year he would always say:- "I hate Christmas Day". I would always reply:- "Why is that?"
His reply was always the same:- "Because I have to spend the whole day with my wife".
He even died in the cinema. Some years later the cinema was demolished and a block of flats were built. But the manager's name lives on. The flats are named after him. He would have loved that.
