watching Talking Pictures today there was a great programme titled 'A Bit of What You Fancy' which was telling the story of the days of Music Hall artists. Even at my age I was far too young to have seen any them in the flesh, but there were some great British Pathe film clips - one rare film of Gus Elen on stage which I've copied below and another of Chas and Dave summing up some of the great acts of the day. How those hard days did produce some fantastic performers - Chaplin of course being one of them.
