  • Truly rare auction!!

OK, if this is really true about this 16MM print, it is truly a one of a kind!

    https://www.ebay.com/itm/KOOKS-TOUR-...E/184435698544

The original master material was indeed 16MM.

Yeah, high price, but whoever bought it would probably be able to sell it on DVD or bluray and make they're money back but if this is the actual original master, this is definitely a candidate for a 4K resolution telecine!

Think saving $20,000 and watch it on You tube might be a best option.

Yeah, but honestly, I would like to see it restored from the original master Kodachrome material.

Has anyone ever come across one of the Super 8 prints of this? If so, and they have seen it, what's the quality like? I wonder what master was used for these, if it wasn't the print offered for sale?

Edward - thanks for the link. Three Stooges fans may wish to take a look because apart from screenshots, there's also the insert included with the film, which has some interesting information including who Niles obtained the release rights from. It even indicates the original price: $199.

Sadly, all of these super 8 prints have varying states of fade, as the screenshots show. The 16mm auctions only downside is that there are no screenshots, but the seller didn't want to potentially scratch the master. Understandable.
