  • “Junk”film

I have an accumulation of film in various garages 8’95 16&35 that have no further interest for me. 50 foot digests, incomplete red what have you, they will have their own story to tell.Nearly all of it Will pass through a projector. However it now seems the empty reels s even secondhand could be more useful and expensive than the film. Any suggestions how to recycle the stuff. In years gone by people would be looking for test films or material for art or student films or WHY, Even for free this is no longer practical with no get-togethers likely for some time And with the cost of post/transportation.

The Film School idea might be the way. While attending Simon Fraser University and enrolled in their film making program, one exercise involved going through boxes of random lengths of film from various reels and splicing together a whole new theme/ imaged based experimental film. Perhaps you could contact the film schools in your area to see if they might have a use for your films. Just a thought.
