Nothing to do with film but just a heads up to this recent scam. The other day I received an email purporting to be from the DVLA saying that my vehicle excise license had expired and warning that it was an offence that had a penalty of £1000.00 fine.
it leads to a link that requests all personal details including bank card, which if you are duped, takes £85.
They rely on the fact that these days we don't receive paper Tax Discs, so there is a possibility that the email will successfully work on some people. They craftily head the email G.O.V. UK which is close to the genuine GOV.UK site.
I have reported this to BT who state that they will work to take the site down, but I just wish they would prosecute and heavily fine these criminals, because they will just pop up somewhere else with a different scam.
