For those that didn't see the Renown Pictures newsletter thread posted by Maurice, there was news of Laurel and Hardy's return to UK TV via the marvelous 'Talking Pictures TV'.
Starting next Saturday, 3rd July, they will be doing 'Laurel and Hardy at teatime', showing a mixture of shorts (sound and silent) and features (including post - Hal Roach studios work). All start at 4.00pm
The lineup printed so far is :
3rd July 'The Music Box' and 'Pack up your Troubles'
4th July 'Another Fine Mess' and 'Sons of the Desert'
10th July 'From soup to nuts', 'The Bullfighters' and 'County Hospital'
11th July 'Putting Pants on Philip' and 'Jitterbugs'
Future films include 'The Battle of the Century', 'Our Relations', 'Twice Two', 'Way out West' and many more.
Brilliant channel and one that deserves all our support.
