I am getting private messages which are obviously not for me from fellow member Daniel Owusu. It seems that I have been included as one of four participants regarding a query on a Braun Super 8 camera.
I was surprised to get that message as well, Maurice but thought you had been intentionally included as there was no resason I was asked the question regarding a specific function of the quoted camera, alone. Speaking about "strange things", I get notifications for what is called "your subscription". I belived I had made some wrong manipulations by mistake but I've also received such a notification for Maurice's new thread (this one), so I couldn't have subscribed for it by distraction since it didn't exist the last time I visited the forum...
I just heard back from Daniel. There was a bit of difficulty with starting a topic, so the two of you were included among the recipients of his PM in the hope that you might be able to help with his question. I am working with Daniel so that he can post his topic on the Forum.

Is it possible that you've listed Maurice in your subscriptions, so that you're notified when he posts?
Doug, thanks for your explanations. After some searches, I found out that I had (without noticing it !) subscribed to the General Yak section. Logically, I unsubscribed. I'll see if that (magic subscriptions) happens again in the future.
I had thought that Daniel might have purposely sent out a PM to more than one member in the hope that someone could have helped with his enquiry about the rewind button on a Braun Super 8 camera, and generally, with other Super 8 cameras.
I now see that Daniel has posted on the 8mm Forum section with the same question where I hope he will receive many answers. It is entered under "Rewind On Braun Nizo Camera."
