That's my question as well, it's on three reels, according to the seller, and those don't appear to be hour long reels.

Well I am not sure but wouldn't acetate versus polyester make a difference on film stock I remember my first print of Grease from marketing films was only four x 400 foot reels but the film was complete

That IBtech was fairly thick stuff, quite durable. I'm going by the size of the those reels. They don't appear to hold an hour each. I don't know everything, however.

I guess this is the 154 minute version, then the print would be in 8 parts. So it could be complete on three large reels. Two reels with 3 parts each, the third with the remaining 2 parts.

              What Alexander posted above.

As far as I know, there never were 35mm prints of the road show version, it was 70mm only, and the reels look correct. I have owned 3 different IB Tech prints over the decades, and although the leaders indicated 9 reels, most collectors combined 2 short reels into one making it an 8 reel feature. The first print I owned was near mint, but it eventually vinegar'd. The second print was a composite I put together from 2 different splicey prints. All now long gone.

The person auctioning this print, who is not me, is well known on some other film collectors forums. My concern with this prints is that he indicates the the opening titles are splicey, which would drive me crazy. He does not indicate whether it has the intro music before the credits. Some prints still had it, other not. Projectionists tended to chop it off for re-issue screenings, as it was around 4 minutes of black film with just music.

I found the color is blueish to my eyes. I have a feeling this is a dupe print.

You are right, Winbert, quite bluish. Once you have seen this in scope, it's not worth watching, otherwise, but that is just my opinion.
