  • Going to see NO TIME TO DIE

We went along to see the new 007 film. I wont spoil it for anyone still to go but it is a very good movie.

As its longer than usual they cut the adverts and ran the latest trailers with a very nice presentation in our new Cinema which was only recently opened due to CV.

Some beautiful camera work and sound going round your ears, for me it was the best 007 film I have ever seen or heard.

Top Tip! Keep your eyes open especially in some of the backgrounds as quite a few nods to all that has gone before...

    Enjoy the ride..

Sounds like it was certainly worth the wait. Hoping to see it next week.

Daniel Craig has been the best Bond since Sean Connery, in my opinion. He has an edgy, rough, tough charm that is believable. Will he ever be back again as Bond? Never say never again!

I’m looking forward to seeing it! I like Craig a lot, but have been lukewarm to some of his bond films. I hope this this one knocks my socks off.

I just can't force myself to go to the cinema anymore due to ignorant people and their phones lighting up and distracting from the film. Looking forward to seeing the film on blu-ray in a couple of months or so.

Since No Time To Die was partially shot in Imax (40 minutes of it), I would like to view it in that format.

While I found the film entertaining, beautifully shot and well acted the producers need to remember that the best bond films have the best villains and sadly no time to dies villain is about as threatening as seagulls poo on your speedos.

Phillip - I actually agree with you - very little screen time for Rami Malik - although the opening was I thought exceptional - he didn't live up to the usual standard of Bond Villains - but I saw it in IMAX and it literally blew my socks off !!!

David the pre credit sequence was one of the best a bond film has ever had, another thing I loved was the editing on the action sequences, normally it’s all shakey cam but the action in this film was really easy to follow.

Well, how disappointing, yes, Danial Graig was James Bond, but not 007, And guess what, 007 is a PC box ticker, what a surprise, and of course JB normally always gets the girl in the end, in this he's in love and has a kid, from a previous girl.
This isn't a bad film, its a good in its own right, some of the chase sequences are more like Spiderman than Bond, but this isn't traditional JB. Its a modern PC version, the music at the beginning is also not what it should be. Obviously, the title sequence has been all PC'd up, or should i say "modernised", no more do we see the classic dancing girl with the swishy photography behind the titles, and as already said, the baddy is well wussy in comparison to the normal Bond bad guy.
Such a shame they feel they have to do this but then i guess it was inevitable, Hollywood dictates these days.
So many people have praised it up because for two years there's been virtually no cinema, and previous to that we were treated up to one crappy CGI
ridden marvel comic film after another and each one got more ridiculous than the previous one. I'm glad, (like many other collectors) that i have a good traditional Bond movie on 16mm to enjoy. Danial Graig is a very good Bond but i wonder how many people have forgotten all the fuss that was made when he was first announced to be Bond? He was the first blue eyed blond and many hardened Bond Fans stayed away. I myself thought he was very good prior to this one. Good action, good fun, but not James Bond as intended, Ian Fleming would be laughing at this.
I think Sky Fall is his best one.
I can only hope they pick the next Bond Wisely, form the possible choices i see, there's one good one, and at least one that will make many Bond movie goers steer well clear, th character of James Bond is a tall dark British agent, they need to remember that.

Must agree on the music Tom , very under whelming.

And oddly is does`nt even grow on you as some others do.

I`d say its the weakest one yet music wise.

Everything has gone PC bonkers in the UK, TV adverts are going that way very seriously

I Think I prefer Casino Royal, though will only see the new one on BR etc. Thanks Lee.

Shame this one sounds maybe a bit so so.

But better wait until I see it until any possible muttering starts.

                          Best Mark.

Its an entertaining movie Mark, there's no doubt about that. But hearing Bond say i love you is cringeworthy, as well as seeing the other "modernised" modifications. My Brother walked out before the end, he said this isn't a Bond movie, its a joke to please todays snowflakes.
Did you see there's a complaint in the world of media because the villain has a facial scar? (one thing they forgot to change), apparently a "small" group are complaining that Bond movies are continuing to stereo type people, (as they put it) with facial scars or disfigurements as villains. It doesn't get funnier than that does it? Itl be interesting to see the next Bond villain as well to see if the makers bow even lower.

Yes. People who complain about that forget that a facial scar can either be a consequence of being a villain or a badge of honour for them (to show how tough they are).
