Set Ups ?

Please forgive this topic in a film forum but I thought one of our American members might be able to elucidate what "set ups" are.

I am also a lover of traditional jazz and have recently bought an LP recorded at the Hall Brothers Emporium of Jazz in Mendota, Minnesota.

In an effort to find out more about this venue I came across the following words:-
In 1968 it was only open on the weekends and served beer, set ups, and pizza.

But, I could not find on any further research what "set ups" are. Anything to do with food or drink?

A "setup" is the US is nothing more than a glass with ice and a mixer to which you add your own liquor. And, yes, it make no sense. It may be a leftover from prohibition back in the day...
