Thank you Dom and Eivind for your great photo coverage of this event. One thing I have found is that the photo essays of Blackpool, Cinesea and others increases my enthusiasm for the hobby, even though I was not in attendance. Seeing all those reels. projectors, boxes of film, and smiling faces just gives me a burst of super 8 energy!

And what a wonderful time we all had. A very professional staged event and guessing those of us who came will have left with some wonderful memories particularly seeing visiting film fans from over seas. Hats off to the entire Blackpool team!
Not many events you go to that have three Xenon projectionists and it was a sight to behold as was the quality on that screen.
Thank you all for a truly lovely couple of days.
Si & Mark :-)

Hello,
Just a quick note from the Manchester airport. I was very happy to be able to meet many Forum members while at the Film Fair. Everyone I met was so friendly and welcoming. There really were no “cliques”
(clicks) at all. I cannot tell you how friendly and helpful members were like David Watson, Melvin England, Dom DeBast, Simon McConway, Shorty, Mark Norton, Adrian Winchester, Bob Nichols, Brian Fretwell, and so many others as well. Elaine Guest and her son did a splendid job putting this event together with the team.
Just like at CineSea, we all like to add a few more film gems to the collection, but the true value of a film gathering like this is spending time with film friends old and new in the viewing of films and talking films and projectors. I hope others here in the US will start seriously planning to be there in 2022.Last edited by Greg Perry; November 22, 2021, 08:15 AM.

Sunday........
I would like take this chance to thank everbody who made this event happen, not only Eliane and her "Crew", not only all the other "Crews" stood on parade behind thier tables but also all the people who came on the day and made it a successful day out.
It was great to be able to put some names to faces, to sit and have a chin wag with dealers and users alike. From the various coversations I had around the room, the amount and depth of experience in that room at any one time was astounding.
I did'nt get to the Fri and Sat events but on reflection, having got up at "Stupid O'Clock" on Sunday to drive to Blackpool this was probably a mistake. However... next time.
Anyway everybody there, pat yourself on the back for making this an enjoyable sucess.
Nick

I think we can safely say..... WHAT A COMEBACK !
A superb weekend was had by all. Certainly by me !
I think, as far as this forum is concerned, Dominique in particular, did a terrific job with his photographs which were being posted here within minutes of them being taken, giving a effect of a "live" visual update "as it happened." I am not sure this has ever been done as quickly. Many thanks to him, and also Eivind Mork for posting his photo's, too.
Unfortunately, I do not have the ability to post that quickly. I have had to wait until I get home and crank up my lap top. However, here is my contribution, with apologies if one or two look similar to others already posted.
This year, the famous Blackpool Illuminations have been left on for much longer and was an extra delight to see the displays.
The Grand Hotel Security Team !
........... and the items they were guarding........!!!!!

Another wonderful event by the amazing Guest family and the many helpers who make this happen , a huge thank you. Also not forgetting the stall holders who provide the goodies for us , I know Nick Reagan was up at 5am to get to the event, and what a show of beautifully restored machinery he had on offer. Meeting up with friends from both here and overseas is always a pleasure , maybe it should be renamed The International B/pool Film Fair next year.
Bob Nichols projected a wide variety of film both flat and scope to an appreciative audience.. Managed to bag a few titles to add to my collection and bought from the Auction a lovely Siemens 12 inch speaker for, wait for it, £1. !!! One a more serious note, quite a few of our friends are unfortunately no longer with us, we will always remember them for their great contribution to our amazing hobby.
Let’s hope 2022 will see a continuation of more events to look forward to, and an end to COVID .

I'm just back home after a great weekend there seeing everyone again as well as the main event - I've had no time to get pictures off the camera yet. I have to unpack still. With what I bought and won on the raffle I though either I was getting old or my luggage was heavier than before. I joked that it must have been between 15 and 20 Kg. When I got in an weighed it I found 19.75Kg!!!!.
Thanks again to Adrian for organising the evening meal and raffle despite a couple of us being very embarrassed (when you win a prize you have to select the next ticket) by selecting another of our own tickets, but no-one complained.
