I have just remembered that Tony &the Widescreen Centre were among the first to offer low voltage halogen upgrades for projector lighting, which would be essential for good widescreen projection. Unfortunately nothing was available for my Eumig Mk 501 due to the limited space in it.

I’m glad to report Tony Shapps is alive!!

Anybody listening to BBC radio 4’s Today programme on Thursday morning will have heard Transport Secretary Grant Shapps talking about how he is looking forward to spending time with his father this Christmas and how poorly he was last year with covid - Tony Shapps of the Wisescreen Centre. Good to hear he has recovered.

      Thanks to John Armer

Yes Tony Shapps is Alive, what John Clancy said on youtube is wrong.
I just received an email from Tony of his latest Concepts e newsletter Issue Jan 2022,
He mentions a Widescreen format called Half 16mm, if you would like to have a look at
this email you can contact me and I will forward onto you.

I'm sure I saw one of those (possibly the Pan-16) being shown at a Widex event/convention at Watford Junction a long time ago. It was very impressive.
