The death of yet another influential film industry figure has been announced. Ivan Reitman, possibly best known for Ghostbusters has passed away.

Never watched Ghostbusters apart from catching a few minutes on television. A giant marshmallow man is all I remember. I think he was involved with Arnie comedies back in the late 1980s but haven’t heard of him for years.

His 1993 film Dave with Kevin Kline, Sigourney Weaver and Frank Langella is terrific, very much in the style of Frank Capra.
