This came up on my Facebook page from two years ago. The projector has been sitting idle for a good eight months now, but will give it a run again very soon
Thanks Erik...we had three Bauer U4 projectors from day one, two were replaced in time, one with a Simplex, the other a new Kinoton, which, had the cinema continued I would have liked to have gone totally new with other Kinoton projectors. I really like them , however is was not to be, but I did capture a bit of video of the U4 as below. I took this one home, along with the platter etc, that in reality were all going to the scrap after the place closed due to the cinema making way for the mall to expand even though the cinema itself was profitable. The Bauer U4 shown here, was an incredibly reliable projector, a great piece of engineering. I have no idea when it was manufactured?, that would be good to know.
I took this short video at "Movieland" showing threading the Bauer U4 35mm projector and platter, before the cinema closed and was demolished in late 2011. T...
