Just a general question. At this point, who is still servicing projectors, 8 and 16, in the UK? I’m no longer certain who is now retired and who is not?

Kevin Brown of Nottingham will repair 16mm Bell & Howell and Elf/Eiki models, but no other makes.

yes, i spoke to kevin about two weeks ago regarding doing
some work on my bell and howell 1568 high intensity
projector, nothing major, just a service, he told me they were problomatic
and he really didn't want to do it. i felt really annoyed and very let down as
i have sent much work to him over the years.

Michael regarding 8mm repairs you could try John White of Stanmore, Middlesex UK. He might still may be repairing and servicing certain makes of 8mm projectors as he still has a site on the internet at the moment .
