Lateral Flow Test "Dessicant" Pouches

I know this question is coming a little late in the day, but I have collected a lot of these small "dessicant" freshness pouches that you find in LFT boxes.
They have the words "Minipac - Dessicant - Do Not Eat. Contains Harmless Absorbent. Packaged for Product Freshness."

My question is..... are these the same silica gel pouches that one places in plastic film containers to keep the film fresh ? If so, can I assume these LFT pouches are also okay to use inside film containers ?

Glad you mentioned that, as I have been using these for a long time...results; vary, mostly I use baking soda for any odor and that is more effective, but the contents may aid in eliminating smells as well...Cheers Melvin, Shorty
