WW1 Era projector, not many film items from this period, looks in good Condition for something nearly 110 years old.

Lovely old machine. If I owned that, I couldn't help but think as I operated it, the other hands, for over a century, that hand cranked that machine. Fascinating!

I see its lighting has been converted to work off the mains via a resistance unit.

The original projector was designed before electricity was available in the home. It had a dynamo which came into action for the lamp when the handle was turned for projection.

My Pathé KOK projector came from the factory with the option to use wall current instead of the hand cranked dynamo. This projector was manufactured for the USA market.

I have somewhere or other the cloth wrapped wire that goes between the those prongs pictured above and the wall outlet.
