Film Release Schedule 1970s

For some time, I've been wanting to watch and write about every single US film released in the US between Jan 1 1970 to Dec 31 1979. Does anyone know a reliable source to obtain this information?

I've been thinking I could maybe use old Sunday paper issues of the NYT to maybe track it down.


If anyone has a better way to track down reliable release dates, please let me know.

580 of those were released in the theater.
This list contains those 580 movies that were in theater.

Try using the Advanced Search function on IMDB.





For this search I only entered the dates for 1970.




The results should look like this:
