We are on the coast, so the snowfall that parts of the USA west of here got was just wind and rain followed by a sharp, deep drop in temperature.

The only casualty is the drain in our bathtub is frozen solid and I haven't been able to thaw it yet. This happens maybe once a decade and usually it takes a full day above freezing outside to unclog the drain.

In the meantime, it's quick showers followed by a great deal of bailing!

In Seattle, WA we are coming out of two weeks of snow. It ended with an ice storm a few day ago. Flooding and king tides are now a problem.

Seattle covers several hills and driving in snow is not a skill here. We also don't have much in the way of snow removal equipment, so a good snow shuts everything down.

Look closely ahead of the black car sliding down the hill. You will see someone has fallen in the street and is sliding down the left side of the street.

Fortunately, my area received winds and rain, with a very brief wet snow session...all films were securely protected Shorty

Well, we had one deep drop in temps, over thirty degrees. Wind-chill brought it down to 25 below zero, as we had constant 50 mph winds. Just for the hell of it, I walked down to the store for bread( it's only five minutes away walking), and the wind was to my back, but boy, I have never faced that kind of cold walking back. I wear an old army BDU jacket with a heavy inliner, but those winds just ripped thru that jacket. Thank God it was only a five minute walk.
