    CBS Sunday morning here in the US had a segment on Martin talking about preserving past films they talked about nitrate films and acetate films if one can pull it up on paramount + it’s interesting segment

        He is quite well known for his interest in film preservation and is one of a number of well known people who have the same interest and search the world for lost films which are then preserved in various national archives. Ken Finch.😊

          I discovered the Film Foundation a few months ago. So far I have watched four of their restorations, the latest being two late 1940's B&W films restored from the 35mm Nitrate negatives. The results are stunning; they look like they were filmed today, not 80 years ago.

          I update that post with news about upcoming free screenings of restored films on the Film Foundation web site. Last night's screening was a "live" event which includes a chat feature that allows the audience to interact while watching the film.
