  • Sitting your Driving Test

I have only had to sit a driving test three times since the first time way back in 1969, even then I had a disagreement with the examiner but in 2012 I had to renew it for Go Bus, which for some strange reason I went on the road and passed it, I must be good .

Anyway remember the TV series "Taxi" it was very popular out here, but this brilliant extract below sums up, that no matter where you live in the world sitting your driving test can be a challenge

    Enjoy....

Graham, I hope you are not comparing yourself the stoned taxi driver Jim!

PS: Here is a video of Jeff Bridges explaining what a yellow light means:

No Ed not me, but Christopher Lloyd was brilliant in Taxi I have been adding up the years today, and found I have had my driving license now for 54 years. In that time I must have driven a zillion miles, and as a motor mechanic, in fact really any job I have had a clean driving license is a must, without it you simply don't have a job. In that time I have only had one speeding ticket, and that was I think Stevens fault, for forgetting his junior rugby boots and I had to go home to get them well I do like to blame him anyway

In saying all that, as a motor mechanic from long long ago, I do have to admit I was at times, a bit silly on the road, but as you grow older you grow out of it, don't you.

How incredibly ironic, I am actually going in for a new drivers license in a few days!
