I love Port, but I find I have to strike a balance when I am running films: sometimes it makes framing and focus...challenging!
Then again there was the time I was autothreading a Super-8 print. I put my glass down behind the machine while the leader ran through the film path, only to see the end dip in my wine when it exited the machine!
I wasn't comfortable with the chemistry of dipping a British film print in a California Port, so I snipped the end off, curled the new end around the take-up and the show went on! (I don't put the glass there anymore, either!)
I DID drink the wine: maybe I got a little extra Iron that day from the sound stripe!😁
