Thank you!
I've bought from ICSuper8 several times and found them to be good. Descriptions are accurate and just enough to give me an idea of print condition and photos, taken in daylight, allow me to see what the print is like. I wish more sellers would have lots of photos like this. Totally recommended seller.
1. Integral Continuity Ltd (t/a ICSuper8) has 2 full time employees, we are not a big company. Selling 8mm and 16mm cine film is our only activity. To sell above a basic level on Ebay we are required to be a tax registered business seller (either sole trader or Limited Company - I chose the latter). We are also required to be VAT registered so our listed prices include 20% VAT (sale tax)
2. Since we started in July 2019 we have handled about 18,000 reels of film, sold to collectors in 32 countries. Our stock comes from 2 sources - 80% from estate sales (all of this otherwise destined for landfill - as was the case with Hugh Scott's collection if we had not been contacted (there were 3,500 reels, approx 2.5 tons, rather more than you mentioned). Sadly that was the fate of Hugh's projector collection as there was no specialist dealer with the time and resources to handle it). 20% comes from major collectors (a few of them forum members) seeking to downsize their collection as 1 sale, rather than listing individually on the forum or elsewhere. As a rule we only buy collections of 100+ reels. We do not buy individual items on the forum, on Ebay or at film fairs - these should be for collectors to buy
3. Finally, we test run all the films we sell individually and take screenshots as best we can - we dont enhance, photoshop or use light boxes for stills. We just try to capture what is running on the projector screen. We try to provide details of condition (fade, lines, emulsion, v/s, film stock) as best we can, particularly for higher value items. It may not be perfect and it may 'undersell' some items but we are trying our best to show what we are selling.
I hope this gives a flavour of our activity and how, I believe, we are trying to help the hobby for the next generation of collectors
I am another satisfied customer of Johns, always interesting titles on offer , and items always packed and swiftly despatched.I take my hat off to him for running a business in todays difficult times, it’s not easy as I ran my own years ago and was glad to sell it on and retire. Keep up the good work John !
Depends on the eBay circumstances Mike. I will confess that usually I only mention eBay or sellers if I want to complain, but I will equally praise good sellers.
