Another great event up here in sunny Lancashire, this time a different venue than previous events. Lee and Val pulled it off again with this friendly northern Fair. The hall was a perfect size , bright and airy and plenty of space for dealers tables . A decent turnout of collectors were not disappointed as there was lots of bargains , both film and equipment to tempt buyers. We were all amazed as Lee showcased his new Dorum prints throughout the day. I managed to bag three features and a few shorts on St8. Peter Clayton was in attendance projecting 9.5 on his converted Elf throughout the day. Thoroughly enjoyable and a big thanks to L and V for keeping the flag flying.

Thank you John. Was so nice to hear everyone chatting enjoying REEL film on the day.
I particularly enjoyed watching the Elmo GS1200 repair workshop taking place and someone purchased my new Eumig sound head which we fitted in 15 or so minutes with one screwdriver. All plug and play.
We projected many of the new S8 releases of course and the full story will be in the next special edition Reel Image magazine.
A day of sheer joy.. The Church loaned us the venue free and we donated voluntary donations back to the Church. Dealers tables were free.
We do it again in May 2024!

The USA event took place on the same day which made our global film events so special.

Ps. Early yet but it's likely the next fair will be

Sat 18th May 2024 complete with blacked out cinema projecting
                Standard 8
                Super 8
                9.5mm
                16mm
                And possibly 35mm.

Hopefully that date next yearwill miss any rail strikes (I hope it will all be settled by then) and the beer festival I help at, so I can get there.

No offense to Dorum films, of course, but are there any pics of the rest of the event?
