      Rodney,

It's interesting to me that in the earlier listings there's no mention as to how the film had been stored, yet the final price was high. At least the more recent sellers give detailed descriptions about cold/freezer storage.

Yes storage of film helps a lot, I found Reversal / Positive film goes off quick in a few years needs to be Frozen.
Were as Negative film may take 5-10 years to go off needs to be in Cold in Fridge. Were Black and White is the most stable film on the Planet, just needs to be out of Sun in Cupboard. Thats why Collecting Movies on Colour Film may go Red, But good old Black and white is still perfect.

Silly prices for film stock that look 40 years old. Then again there are lots of home movies out there at same rates.

Home movies are something completely different. They're a piece of history. I've acquired hundreds of them over the past 6 months and for me they're way more valuable than any commercial release on S8.

Hi John Hope they were good film makers. Remember completion nights at film maker clubs and som you would never want to see again. Good you are preserving them. I have a full reel of a wedding in Birmingham in 1980s which is in perfect colour sound. Looks like a professional job but has been binned with a collection.

I have a few lots that are outstanding. One is from some French guy who traveled around the world in the 70's. US, Africa, India, Australia, China. The guy was probably quite wealthy and there are 10+ 600ft reels all nicely edited. But when buying lots you never know what you're going to get and of course there's a lot of rubbish amongst them too.

Yes its amazing why people pay the same or more, for unprocessed film than New Raw filmstock.

No one has Recorded any special event yet, but Buying pre-exposed / Processed film of

Slides or Home Movies makes sense.

Yes there moments captured that will never happen again, a time capsule of the Past.

Some could be up to 100 years old, a Travel Holidays around the World, or a Family event.

Thats why they are more Valuable than Commercial Movies, with Hundreds or Thousands of copies out there.

Home Movies or Slides there is only one original Print out there.
