A great actor in many films over the years. It is always a great shame that great actors have the misfortune to be involved with a mega hit. Now he will Dumbledore forever, but he was in so many more much better things than Harry Potter Films. Alec Guinness cursed the fact that if he was ever mentioned it was always Alec Guiness (Star Wars), he was so much better than that rubbish but that’s all that will be remembered. A great shame, a sign of the boring mediocre times we live in.

There are less and less true actors now, but I supposed we could always remake films with Duane Johnson, ha ha.

To Michael Gambon a great actor.

A great actor indeed! I really liked him as a corrupt Irish cattle owner in the very good Western, "Open Range", with Robert Duvall and Kevin Costner.

I think I may have seen him at an amateur theatre he was Patron of, sitting at the bar. I didn't speak as didn't know what to say.

He was brilliant as the writer Philip Marlow in The Singing Detective.
