Watched this horror movie at Halloween. Starring Ethan Hawke and solidly made (although I get that the subject of child abduction may not be for everyone). Some amazing performances from the kids in the cast.
I mention it because the dream sequences were shot on super 8; not digitally and made to look like super 8, but the real deal.
As the film is set in 1978, the super 8 sequences have a suitably grainy and eerie quality on a big screen.
A good, if not great movie despite the subject matter, as it edges more to chills than graphic horror. And it has real super 8 in it!
