  • Imprint Blu-ray

Looking back to 2023 this Australian company has really come to the party regarding what they release and most important for folk in other countries, that there discs can play anywhere none of this region locking thing.

I was first put onto Imprint, when a person came onto the forum about Jonathan Livingston Seagull 1973, since then I have never looked back. They seem to go for the odd titles that bigger companies don't bother with. There discs are a bit more expensive, than the usual but they are packaged nicely and often include extras.

The blu-ray titles I have bought so far and have pre-ordered "Islands In The Stream" with The Andromeda Strain not far behind are
from 1951 When Worlds Collide, War Of The Worlds 1953, The Bad News Bears 1976, The Medusa Touch 1978, Distant Thunder 1988, Little Buddha 1993,Searching For Bobby Fisher 1993.

Its been nice to look at some of the movies they sell that I have never seen before either at the cinema or on DVD, The quality of all the transfers to blu-ray I have seen are very good and hope they can keep up that standard. One title I would like them to release is the 1966 film The Trap, so here is hoping

I have the blu-rays of THE DUELLISTS and LAST TRAIN FROM GUN HILL from Imprint and I recommend them. Both favourite films and the latter is VistaVision originally.
Some of the VistaVision films offer the very best in natural-looking image quality on disc. I would further recommend TO CATCH A THIEF and ONE-EYED JACKS as blu-rays.
