Many moons ago when I was in my late teens, I had to run a large audio visual presentation, for then Prince Charles at the R.I.B.A. in London. We were put through royal protocol to what we were allowed to do and say to him the day before.
Come the next morning, we are all standing there dressed up like a dogs dinner, and it was my job to place and wire a radio mic on him and explain the procedure for running this presentation.
I could tell he was nervous and didn't understand a word I was saying, so I thought a different approach was needed.
With my boss breathing down the back of my neck I said "Your Highness is it possible that I can explain this in plain English" to which he replied " Bloody hell someone is going to speak normally, fire away old chap". Everyone in the room burst out laughing, including his security guards.
After the event my boss approached me and said " that moment you opened you mouth, I had a vision that we were going to be frog marched down to the Tower, never to be seen again.
I wish him all the best for a speedy recovery.

In 1998 Prince Charles came to our small village on the Royal Train, ( very lucky to still have a line out here ) when he was visiting the Area.
He was really made time for everyone, but he had not seen our son.
He was about to get back on the train along the platform when he saw our little lad looking so desperate to see him.
He specially turned back, and came back along just to speak to him, and his mum, and was so kind, and lovely to them.
Little Ryan ( 5 ) was so happy.
It makes me tear up just thinking about it.
A wonderful man, who has done so much quietly for so many people over the years.
Here is a good clip to see how normal and nice a person Charles is too.

As least he will be getting the best medical attention.
Best wishes Mark

Cancer! The great blight upon so many of humanity. It was reported today that country artist Toby Keith died of cancer just last night, when everyone thought that it was in remission. At least, for one positive note, we saw a report on the tele, that doctors/scientists are very close to having a pill that will eradicate at least some cancers B4 they can begin.

Best wishes to King Charles III for a full recovery/remission.
Everyone over 50 has growths whether malignant ie cancer or benign ie grizzle. You know the bits of meat that are fatty or chewy.
Cancer is a lottery depending on your genetics, lifestyle, environment, diet and longevity.
There are worse things to die of than cancer. You can make your own list or just visit Ukraine or Gaza.
i wish King Charles well I’m sure he will receive the best treatments available. He is in the hands of the folks in white coats and as long as they don’t hoke and poke he should be fine. Just research Lincoln , Garfield and McKinley where they managed to actually kill their patients.
May I recommend the French song “Everyone wants to go to Heaven but nobody wants to die”. Petula Clarke does a nice version. By the way she hasn’t taken a medication or pill for over 60 years.
